Amelia Lonsdale: Pupilsphere

We had the pleasure of meeting Amelia Lonsdale as a guest speaker. Amelia is a writer, and researcher as well as being a photographic practitioner. She also runs an unfunded network for students and graduates nationwide online, to help them gain exposure. 

Pupilsphere itself was made in 2015 by Dan Ainsworth when he was doing his own degree at Huddersfield University. He has wanted to create something where graduates and students alike could interact and network amongst themselves along with industry professionals. This was to increase opportunities to network and form connections. 

Lonsdale has since picked up from where Ainsworth left off, by creating a newer and improved version of the platform. Pupilshpere offers loads of different functions such as portfolio reviews, mentoring, giving constructive criticism in feedback and also sells practitioners photo-books online whilst also remaining as a point of communication to develop new networks and connections.
